Lets Give Back to Our Community!
AIM is going to help Rake up Boise!
The mission of A.I.M. is "to promote awareness about Down syndrome through self-advocacy and to enhance the lives of its members through education and service to community while creating and building a 'family of friends'."
AIM completes at least two community service projects per year.
Each November, thousands of volunteers from local businesses, schools, churches, and neighborhoods join together for NeighborWorks® Boise's Rake Up Boise™ to rake yards for senior, veteran, and disabled neighbors.
We need at least 5 AIM participants (and their staff/family members for a 10 person team) to donate an hour and a half to rake up a yard and be part of a 40-year tradition of neighbors helping neighbors and one of the Northwest’s largest, most beloved volunteer events. Our assignment location will not be given until the week prior to the event - but we have requested a NW Boise/Eagle location.
Please RSVP by Thursday October 23rd: so we can submit our Team name and waivers by the deadline.
This event is for CURRENT TVDSA members with Down syndrome ages 18+ plus one caregiver.
